Some time ago, our house alarm was on the fritz, and I decided on a whim to set up the Fake TV as I walked out the door (we don’t usually use it, unless we’re out of town). So, if you are security conscious and want to give thieves the impression that your residence is not uninhabited at the moment, then FakeTV is the perfect device to use. In conjunction with a home security system and lights on timers you can have some additional peace of mind that your home is somewhat safe.

I always use the product when going out at night, and it gives me a sense of security, coupled with my alarm system. By the way, we especially recommend FakeTV if you have an alarm system. That system is vulnerable to a "smash and grab" robbery. Better to make such a break-in less likely.

Thanks for the 2 FakeTVs. They were surprisingly small. I'm sure you listed dimensions on your website, but I didn't pay attention. Wow, do they put out a lot of light! Standing outside or in the next room, you'd swear there's a TV turned on (to low or mute volume). I do have trouble hiding them from outside view as I have to keep the blinds raised enough to keep my cat from hanging himself, but I figure if a thief is brave enough to look that closely, he's already determined to break in. This Fake TV can prevent your real one from being stolen. I stood outside my living room one night and compared the lights from Fake TV to those emitted by my television. The phony show matched the real thing almost identically, though the alternating lights from Fake TV flashed a bit more frantically. It would give a potential burglar the impression that you're watching something frenzied, like “Cops,” and that's not a bad impression to give.

My 2 Fake-TVs arrived safe and sound and just in time to use them while I went away for a week. They are nothing short of great! My wife thinks I'm generally miserable and hard please but I love these things. With a couple of careful placement adjustments they look identical to a TV playing.
